eleven months.

eleven months. wow.

this past month was huge!

i feel like parker went from baby to little person.

again...he just gets more fun each day.

 tantrum! i now know what the future holds for us...

 (seriously...this was moments after placing him back on the chair. he won.)

weight: about 21 pounds

height: ? getting taller!

skills: crawling! all over! creeping around the furniture and walls (like spiderman!) points to things, points with pointer figure and makes tttt noise,

signs: all done

words: dada, more, mama, ahhh! 

teeth: 8 (4 on top, 4 on bottom)
food: loves everything :) (except green beans)


dear parker, we love you so much. you are getting to be so big and independent  you want to do everything yourself. you move with a funky crawl, you are constantly touching things you know you shouldn't but you've started to cuddle :) my favorite thing you do right now if shake your head no when i tell you know...while you do what you shouldn't be doing. you love to talk, love to climb, and love to get your way. you like to sleep swaddle and often work your way out during the night. you often prop your feet up on the side of the crib...completely relaxed! you bring great joy to our lives! we love you! mom and dad.

day trip. whidbey island.

[caution...picture heavy post! ;) ]

on saturday we headed out for a day trip. or a long car ride :)

we headed up to whidbey island for parker's 11 month birthday....

actually we just wanted to go ;)

we got up on saturday around 7:30 (totally sleeping in for us! thanks, p!)

i ran to get some groceries, brandon made chicken salad for the road and parker played.

we got in the car around 10 and headed north!

we drove up to the muckilteo ferry. there was a long line!

 thankfully, parker was napping in the backseat and brandon and i had blueberries to eat!

we finally got on the ferry!

parker's first ferry ride...he was sooo excited!

although the forecast said it was supposed to be in the 80's it was chilly and overcast on the ferry at 12.

but that meant parker could wear his hope sweatshirt :)

after the ferry we drove to a beach where we could eat lunch and explore.

(those cheeks...i just want to pinch them...and i might)

blueberries for p (and other food of course)

curry chicken salad for brandon and i...yum!

we walked the beach

then it was back to the car!

we headed north on whidbey to coupville.

such a cute town...like one main road cute!

we walked, saw this...

 brandon made a new friend...

 and got back into the car!

we then drove up to deception pass! (important...this was the deciding factor for us moving to the pnw. we saw whales here almost 6 years ago. i was sold....haven't seen a whale since!)

i was determined and convinced we would see a whale...

but

we saw all the beauty instead...

no whales...

would have been awesome...especially since p was wearing his whale shirt ;)

maybe next time.

back to the car and we headed to laconner.

oh. my. word. 

such a cute town!

i decided we have to go back and spend more time there!

we walked around. went in a neat thrift/antique store. took some fun pictures.

let parker get his crazies out.

then it was back in the car for the journey home!

parker slept the whole way! then woke up for a bath, feeding and

 back to sleep til morning! road trips must wear him out!

it was a great day! we had some much fun exploring, driving and relaxing!

he eats, slurps, gobbles them up!

parker's smoothie recipe:

one cup coconut milk

one cup frozen blueberries or other berries

large handful of greens (normal spinach...today it was kale)

spoonful of flaxseed

pulse and enjoy :)

it's friday.

i've always looked forward to friday...i think most people do.

it's the start of the weekend- awesome.

whew. what a weekend.

we headed up on thursday afternoon to warm beach for the annual long weekend of camping 

with the other crc churches in the pnw.

i was heading up the jh program. i enlisted some help...brandon, another girl from church and a 

jh girl to watch p.

it started with the fourth.

parker started to crawl!

the weather was awesome.

sunny, warm, and perfect.

the sessions were great!

full of energy and fun.

but we are wiped!
