part two....super late

hello. i had every intention of completing part two last week but...

we were enjoying our days with daddy (he just went back to work on monday) and spending time relaxing, sleeping, watching the world cup, enjoying playing at the park...

it was a full week :)

so where were we? oh yes, madalyn's first weeks of life!

she has been a wonderful baby! with garth and mary here we were able to get out a lot, which with a newborn could end in disaster ;) she, however, was a rock star and slept, eat and enjoyed all the adventures!

parker was in heaven with all the extra attention. grandpa and grandma were, too!

 we had such a fun time! what a great way to celebrate madalyn's first two weeks of life!

life lately. part one.

the last two weeks have been busy! we were blessed to have garth and mary come visit right after madalyn was born. parker loved having baapa and maama (grandpa and grandma) there to read stories, play chase, trucks...he was pumped!

so we were able to get out of the house and do a lot!

we went to a cute farm! below parker is chasing the peacocks with a carrot ;)

 chickens! he had no fear and went right in and started to chat with the chicks and chase them about.

 and a train ride! he was excited...although his face says otherwise

we've been getting used to madalyn.

baby deur #2 is here!

madalyn elizabeth arrived may 22 at 12:48pm, weighing in at 7lbs 14oz and 19 3/4" long. she has a full head of dark hair! we are so in love with her! big brother, parker, is slowly warming up to her but always makes sure she's in the car with us by asking "baby?"

due date! 40 weeks

well, today was baby number #2 due date.

i thought it was yesterday but when we went to the doctor today, they said it was today. so confusing since every time i had an ultrasound they thought it might be a different date ;)

anyways, today is the day.

the doctor thought any day...maybe even tonight the baby will arrive!

we are excited and ready!

it might not look like it but the baby has definitely dropped. i finally can feel my ribs again and breathe :) 

i can't believe we are in the final days already! parker and i are keeping busy which helps when you are just waiting! we had quite the busy week...story hour, walks, playing at the park, doctor appointments, more playing outside in the beautiful 80 degree weather, picnics....

and it's not even friday :)
