a weekend of burgers and relaxing!

it was cold this weekend!

and rainy!

perfect for burgers, snuggling and relaxing!

so that's what we did!

 what a weekend for sports! did you catch the Michigan game? we did! whew!

brandon was jumping around which scared parker...who cried :(

 we celebrated with yummy burgers and roasted carrots...yum!

 we enjoyed the burgers so much we had them again on sunday!

and watched the sounders lose to la...boo

all this good food wore parker out :)

a tour...

i thought it would be fun to give you all a tour

of our new home!

and of course,

 highlighting the current projects,

 finished projects, 

projects for the future!

so let's start!

when you first walk into our home you are on the ground level.

 we have this awesome spot for dumping...actually i would prefer it to stay neat!

huge thanks to mary for her help with painting!

 this was my first project...the cabinets were originally a dark wood and the baskets wicker

i love the look of the clean, crisp white with the blue :)

 continue down the hallway and you pass a small bathroom and then enter our guest room

 which is pretty tiny...but does the trick!

lately...

whew...we've been busy lately!

garth and mary came for a visit!

 parker loved meeting his grandpa and grandma!

grandpa and grandma worked on projects and made many trips to the local hardware stores :)

and of course cuddles with parker!

we showed off our dino hat!

enjoyed the fall weather!

 

brought a spiffy outfit...

it was wonderful to have them visit!

parker and i went to our first peps meeting!

its a group for new moms and their babies...

parker was really into checking everyone out, 

while all the other babies slept or ate!

we saw uncle andy and aunt allysha!

he was wiped out!

we had a fall fun party last night with yg...aka halloween. it was a blast :)

two weekends ago we ventured out into the cold and rain

with the yg to the 

pumpkin farm!

we were supposed to do the corn maze

but when we arrived we realized that the maze was made of sunflowers...

most of which were dead :(

we explored the world of pumpkins!

disclaimer: i wanted to take parkers picture amoung the pumpkins but it was cold and rainy...and he was sound asleep in the baby bjorn :)

2 months!!!

yup that's right, parker is two months!

11 pounds 11.5 ounces, 22.5 inches tall

feels like home

its almost been two months since we have moved into our new house

we have been working on unpacking, moving things around,

working on cleaning the yard up,

getting things just right....

while there is still a lot of things we would like to do

(oops...i would like to do)

 this new place is feeling like home.

its nice to wake up these fall mornings and have toasty floors

(yup, radient heating- i love you)

walk into parker's room so see him sleeping so sweetly

(or screaming) in his cute bedroom

to walk down the stairs and see family on the walls

to light candles that smell of fall and make everything cozy :)

even to hear the rain outside...

it's nice to have a home and be there.

 

we are so blessed!
