easter.

happy easter, everyone.

sorry it's been quiet on the blog front. we had a crazy march, starting with youth sunday to sickness, birthdays, meets, lots of work and prep for the fundraising dinner...i can't believe it's easter and april!

i'm happy things are slowing down and that we have this weekend to reflex on god's wonderful gift of salvation!

nine months.

how did this happen? how did our little baby turn into such a little person?

this past month was full of changes!

madalyn began to crawl! days after turning 8 months, she was moving forward and loving it. there is no stopping her now! she is into everything.
she love to yell and scream (its like a game for her and parker), loves to chew on the farm animals and other toys. madalyn still only has two teeth! she is totally capable of sleeping through the night but still likes to make sure everyone else is not sleeping too long ;)

weight: 19lbs 9 ounces
height: 27 inches

loves: eating! chapping! waving! big brother parker, any toy she can bang or throw, loves to play with parker's toys (esp. if he is still napping!), story hour at the library, crawling very very quickly!

dislikes: being in the car a lot, avocado, mama or daddy walking away from her, being told hands off!

a day in the life of madalyn and parker

I haven't done one of these in a loong time. mainly because i haven't really had the time to sit and write. parker and madalyn certainly have been keeping us busy...along with work and other normal stuff! i should be working right now but i'm recovering from a cold and having a bit of trouble focusing so...here i am! lucky you :)

here is a normal day with our almost 9 month old and almost 2 and a half year old!!

7ish- madalyn wakes up. i ignore her for a little while but since she is in our closet its difficult to. she claps her hands when you enter to get her which is pretty awesome!

7:30 we're downstairs, madalyn plays on the floor while i drink coffee. parker usually gets up between now and 8.

 

8:00 parker eats a banana (nanaana) and watches george while madalyn gobbles up some oatmeal and prunes. i then make a smoothie for p and i. he drinks that and has yogurt or oatmeal or peanut butter on a spoon.

9ish- madalyn goes down for her first nap. while she naps, parker plays with his cars and trucks and i clean up breakfast, the kitchen or whatever else.

10:30/11- depending on the day, we either head to the park, story hour, m2m/story hr, or hang at home. if it's wednesday, parker goes to preschool by 9:30 and madalyn and i work in bellevue.

12:30- lunch! parker loves his peanut butter and jellies but has been know to eat my cheese and avocado sandwich :) I've stopped eating while they are up!

1:15 naptime for both! hooray! work for me

4ish- both are up. playtime and snacks. facetiming or skyping with grandparents. a bit of dinner prep.

5- daddy's home!

5:30- dinner for parker and madalyn

6- more time for play

6:45- bathtime

7- snuggles, stories and bed!

7:15- brandon and i eat dinner and watch tv, talk and relax

9:30/10- bed!

eight months

Madalyn this past month:

-army crawling backwards

-saying dada dada

-eating puffs

-first time on the swings!

-so close to crawling (up on knees and rocking!)

-eating lots of solids

-getting a bit better at sleeping longer

seven months.

well, madalyn turned seven months before christmas...but better late than never :)

madalyn's personality over the last month is really starting to show! so much fun to hear her giggle and yell with her brother :) she is very spunky and strong willed. she knows when she is hungry and let's everyone know!

 this picture ended poorly, she fell off the chair and ended up with a huge bruise on her face! poor girl! (note to self- do monthly pictures when no one is home...too distracting with daddy and p around! leads to falling!)

this month has been full of changes for this little girl! madalyn has started moving! she army crawls backwards on her belly. she sits up great on her own. she has perfected the sit and reach ;) she can reach sooo far and gladly steals things out of parker's hands. madalyn is now eating three solid meals a day. she gets a bottle of goat milk before bathtime. madalyn and parker now take baths together! the room gets soaked...she loves to splash! her two bottom teeth can in this month. she loves to scream and screech...especially if parker is there to egg her on! madalyn is continuing to get up in the night, normally around 3:30...we know she can sleep thru but her screaming is unbearable. sleep training has happened and failed but we will most likely try again. madalyn is very strong willed and stubborn (no idea where she gets that from...) we love her very much!
