parker's room

welcome back on a tour of our home :)

i thought we would jump to the top floor

to parker's room!

its seen a lot of change since we moved in

and there is still a bunch i would love to do!

this is where the washer and dryer live...hooray for laundry on the top floor!

his crib, the rocker (it's the one brandon was rocked in)

dresser/changing table...shelf for toys!

i made parker this mobile last week

 he loves it!

on his shelf...three canvases...specially painted for parker!
plus my frog from the thills and a doggy from the thills :)

parker's bookcase, laundry and some unfinished art work!

i'm hoping to paint his room a light grey with the wall behind his bed in grey and white stripes!

a tour...

i thought it would be fun to give you all a tour

of our new home!

and of course,

 highlighting the current projects,

 finished projects, 

projects for the future!

so let's start!

when you first walk into our home you are on the ground level.

 we have this awesome spot for dumping...actually i would prefer it to stay neat!

huge thanks to mary for her help with painting!

 this was my first project...the cabinets were originally a dark wood and the baskets wicker

i love the look of the clean, crisp white with the blue :)

 continue down the hallway and you pass a small bathroom and then enter our guest room

 which is pretty tiny...but does the trick!

home sweet home

we moved!

yup...parker joined us on the 20th and we official brought a house on the 30th!

so crazy! 

we moved into our new house labor day weekend with the help of lots of family and friends.

allysha and andy were in town and were a huge help!

along with many friends...we were able to clean and move all of our stuff in two days!

whew! i don't think i will never move again right after having a baby!

i don't recommend it ;)

we feel so blessed to find an awesome house!

it was super crazy but now that we are moved in it great to have a place to call home and 

to be able to share it with parker.

we had been looking for a new place for a while and found this house the last week of july.

since it was a short sale, we figured- perfect! it will take at least 6 months before we have an answer.

boy, were we wrong!

the day after we put in our offer the selling bank asked if we could close in 30 days! August 31!!

i was terrified that i would be in the labor and delivery room when we would need to sign closing papers...

thank you parker for coming early!

so we had parker, our bank got everything together and we closed on the 30th!

we got the keys on the 31st and started moving the next day!

brandon has already started and completed some home projects!

way to go!

he is now assuming the role of handy man...and i am sure there are more projects to come!

he already changed the door locks, fixed the bathroom window, installed carbon monoxide detectors,

buying a washer and dryer, killing spiders....

 welcome home!
